Often, dermatitis is not caused by simply one factor. There is initial skin irritation followed by secondary bacterial or fungal infection. Our Scratches Medication has anti fungal and antibacterial medications and a small amount of cortisone cream to reduce inflammation. The base is aqueous so that heat will not be reflected back to the area.

The most important quality of Scratches Medication is that it protects skin from further infection by replacing the skin's defense system. For deep infections, please contact your veterinarian.

Some discoloration may take place over time as our recipe uses well water from the pine barrens, which is rich in iron and other minerals.
